There are so many great wedding venues in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. I have compiled a list including the most luxurious and unique venues in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire area. I hope that this helps you find your dream venue!

  1. HOLYWELL HALL

Holywell Hall - A classic English countryside venue in Lincolnshire with a few stunning options for ceremonies and or receptions. Say, “I do,” amongst the natural beauty of the gardens in either the Garden Terrace or in the Walled Garden itself, and then set up a fun cocktail hour for guests in one of the beautiful corners of the venue before heading to your marquee on the croquet lawn for your reception. Because this is a private residence, it remains a hidden jewel among wedding photographers and locals.

2. STUBTON HALL

Stubton Hall is one of the UK’s exclusive-use wedding venues. The interior of the hall is gorgeous with a distinct and unique style, which makes for so many good photo opportunities throughout the inside and grounds of the venue.  Best of all, the stunning country house can hold up to 200 guests, so you can skip the marquee and host your ceremony indoors with ease.

3. NORWOOD PARK

Norwood Park is another exclusive use and private estate in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The restoration of this estate fused the classic old elements with a new and modern touch. This venue boasts an elegant feel, gorgeous grounds, and a nice touch of whimsy.

4. WOLLATON HALL

One of the UK’s more extravagant wedding venues, Wollaton Hall is a Grade I Elizabethan mansion nestled into the heart of about 500 acres of nature. There are several different areas throughout the hall and the grounds of Deer Park where you can choose to set up for a ceremony. The Great Hall boasts gorgeous archways, hand-carved stone, and beautiful beam ceilings, and the rooftop is a stunning place for unique photos of you and your partner.

5. PRESTWOLD HALL

This is another one of the UK’s grade I homes. It is a private residence, so it must be exclusively booked. What draws couples to Prestwold Hall is the property’s stateliness both inside and outside, and its carefully manicured vibe. You can choose to say, “I do” in the house itself, or out in the Georgian Gazebo with gardens of roses as your backdrop. For couples who want to get married in a church, the church of St. Andrew, another 13th-century establishment, is only a short walk away.

6. WOOTTON HALL

This is a brand new exclusive use country wedding venue in Lincolnshire. Wootton Hall boasts a private golf course and a secluded and timeless charm. You have freedom over where you want your ceremony to take place, and some couples choose barn weddings, marquee weddings, or even tipi weddings over ceremonies in the hall itself for a more unique vibe.

Harlaxton Manor is for the couple who wants to make a statement. This dramatic venue will take your breath away with its beautiful architecture, stunning gardens, and impressive grounds. This countryside manor feels like a mansion with modern touches set in 300 acres of parkland in the rural parts of Lincolnshire.

8. HANBECK FARM

Hanbeck Farm is a lovely and unique gem that the UK has to offer for couples who want something a little outside the box. This fifth-generation family farm has ducks, chickens, and a few cows roaming the property, as well as a gorgeous stone house built in 1847. The barns and stables were converted into a wedding venue this year, so the place is fairly new overall.

14. BELVOIR CASTLE

Belvoir castle is one of the UK’s most extraordinary and luxurious wedding venues. Although it is a mock castle, it was built in Leicestershire on the site of an actual historic castle. Its interior is magnificent with stunning architecture and careful detailing on the walls and ceilings. It also has some of the most impressive gardens any UK wedding venue has to offer, as well as a gorgeous courtyard, and a fun playground for kiddos.

15. ABBEY FARMS WEDDINGS

If you are searching for a UK wedding venue with a gorgeous barn for your ceremony to take place in, look no further. Abbey Farm Weddings has two to choose from––the Oak Barn, and the Granary Barn, which is 450 years old! This venue is also unique in that it has its own 13th-century church on the property, so you could say, “I do,” at St. Leonard’s Church, and then hitch a ride on one of the venue’s tractors/trailers back to the farm.

16. ASWARBY RECTORY

Aswarby Rectory is for the less-is-more couple who values simplicity over stateliness. This country house is surrounded by open countryside and 9 acres of gardens and land. You can choose to have your ceremony in the converted old kitchens, which is their main ceremony room, or in the drawing room with gorgeous Georgian windows overlooking the gardens. In the warmer months, outdoor ceremonies are also an option.

17. COLWICK HALL

If you are looking for a manor home with beautiful gardens that isn’t too far from the city centre, then Colwick Hall might just be the place for you. Colwick Hall is located just outside of Nottingham and features a stunning lakeside view and a gorgeous Palladian style Georgian country house. It is located on 60 acres of parkland and creates a stunning backdrop to any wedding. The building dates back to Saxon times and was the ancestral home of Lord Byron.

Eastwood Hall is a great option for Nottingham couples or anyone in the UK for that matter. It is a luxurious countryside wedding venue in Blyth, Nottinghamshire that is surrounded by 800 acres of woodland. A grand country house with the option of space for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, Hodsock Priory is the ideal space for anyone wanting a private experience in a unique and grand stately home.

19. WILLOW MARSH FARM

Located on the borders of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and Derbyshire, The Willow Marsh Farm sits on 160 acres of a unique mix of pasture, lakes, and wild marshes. This private, exclusive-use venue is for the couple who wants a more rustic and intimate experience in a totally unique atmosphere.

20. IRNHAM HALL

Irnham Hall is one of south Lincolnshire’s premier venues. The summer house is a gorgeous and versatile space with lots of natural light that can make an intimate ceremony feel cozy and settled, while still being able to accommodate up to 150 people for a meal.

I have chosen these venues based on unique or luxurious elements of the venue. Keep in mind that while some do supply items like chairs, keep in mind that often couples hire their own chairs that fit more with their vision for the day.

I hope you found this list helpful in planning your Nottingham or Lincolnshire Wedding. And if you want to chat a little more, don’t hesitate to contact me!
